Ken and I met online through ChristianMingle.com. He wrote to me first, but I couldn't answer right away. By the time I could respond, over one month had gone by. Thankfully, everything was in God's hands, and His timing is perfect. Ken was on a mission trip to Peru, and we spent a wonderful two-and-a-half weeks writing and getting to know each other!

Ken came home from Peru on Sept 12th (2012). I could tell he was as excited to meet me as I was to meet him - he asked me to dinner the night he got back home. We had a wonderful time, and then Ken did something that showed me that he was the one I had been searching for. You see, my budget was tight, and priorities required that I didn't have cell phone service. So imagine my surprise and gratitude when he went to his car after dinner, and brought out a cell phone for my use. "Don't worry, it has unlimited minutes, and unlimited texting. I know single moms need a cell phone, so use it as you see fit." I don't think I've ever heard anything more romantic. So after a couple more dates, when he proposed to me, I couldn't refuse! He didn't make it official until he had asked my dad, and then right there that night, he knelt down and asked for my hand in marriage!

Our ceremony will be held at the Coeur d'Alene Wedding Chapel. The Coeur d’Alene Wedding Chapel is one of the most beautiful and complete wedding facilities in the Northwest. Built in 1908, the Coeur d’Alene Wedding Chapel is listed with the Historic Register. With its high rounded ceiling, carved pews and the elegant interior decor, the chapel provides a very romantic atmosphere for our wedding day.

The ceremony will start promptly at 12:00 noon. The Chapel is located at 618 Wallace Ave (corner of 7th and Wallace Ave) in Coeur d'Alene, ID.

Our reception will be fun & fabulous! Please join us and celebrate our new lives as Mr. and Mrs. Shock! There will be dining, dancing, and good times for all! Our wedding reception will immediately follow our ceremony, downstairs at the Wedding Chapel.

Ken and I would like to thank all of our dearest family and friends for simply being here for us. You all have done so much and have made such a remarkable positive difference in our lives. We cherish the friendship and love you gave us, and continue to give to us. Thank you for visiting our wedding website and honeymoon registry. You all have blessed our lives and we can't wait to share our special day with you!
